I found the way!!!!

I finally figured out the way to get these kids to speak english and not chinese!!! I was teaching my 5th graders today on the future tense. Ivy had this cool setup on the computer and I used the video screen to show them rooms that may or may not be in their new house. My favourite was the bathroom. They would ask me, "Will there be a bathroom in my new house?" I was all like, Of course. Then I said, What will you do in the bathroom. THen they would answer, however, they would never choose the most obvious. What was great was that all these pictures of the rooms were of some of the most luxurious ones in America so all the kids were all like, WHAAAAAA!
In the bathroom, I pointed out to the fact that it contained a sit down toilet, so I showed them, NONE OF THIS (while i squatted) or sat on a bench and squatted (to get across that you shouldnt squat on the toilet seat). I then showed them how to sit on a real toilet and read the newspaper while doing it to.
What got them to speak english, I swear, this is the most english I heard them speak ever. I threatened to throw them out of class if they didn`t speak english. Ivy got a chuckle out of that threat. At first, none of the kids thought I would do it until I threw out a group of four. Then, all of a sudden, i couldn`t hear myself think. The amount of chatter increase so much. It was great. My favourite move was going in stealth and sneaking up behind kids just hoping to catch them speaking cantonese. I got a few that way. There were a couple kids where I was standing in plain sight of their group and I asked them to speak to each other in the context of the assignment and they would speak to each other in Cantonese and I was like, "DUDE! I`m right here!" It rocked.
I confiscated a couple more notes today. I have noticed i have been doing that alot lately. Todays was one asking another student if they could borrow 2RMB. He couldn`t but he could lend her 1RMB.
Before Kindergarten, I called Jolene and asked her to ask the metal shop dude about the sword since we heard nothing and he said that he could do it and the cost would be 85RMB, but Jolene got him down to 80. Big whoop. He said it would be done monday or so. I have my doubts since, this is china. He said he would call us if he could do it, and we haven:t heard anything until we called. He could be saving face. However, this type of thing happens in the states too. So. whatever.
Kindergarten today was hard. I am trying to teach the 2-4 year olds body parts. They can understand what I say when I say HEAD SHOULDERS KNEES AND TOES, and that stuff because they point them out, but they can`t say it or do the game properly themselves. Its hard trying to teach body parts for 40 minutes. There is only so much you can do. Then during the bathroom break, a couple boys walked out with their pants around their ankles.
Will someone please tell me why chinese kids don`t wear underwear when they wear short shorts?
I went gong fu practice tonite. Only the main group people were there. It started pouring rain on my way there and I got drenched. Once at practice, the rain was pouring so hard on the metal roof that it hurt my ears. Very loud. I was then taught more of the cymball for the lion dance cadence and I then was snagged into doing it while they guys did the pedestals. I had to fake it. It wasn`t too bad.
Afterwards, Sifu taught me Chan Quan #1. Its quite simple, but you repeat it 4 times. Its got some classic moves in it though.
I then rode my bike home in the rain.
