Today.
Got up and headed to the gym for some long needed exercise and wouldn't you know it, i torqued something in my knee while stretching. I was at the gym for about 20 minutes. I am irritated. Its not bad, I didn't feel it until i started some jogging, so I quickly stopped and i came home and i am resting it up and taking care of it. If its not one thing its another. So frustrating.
I have also been looking at this china news website www.china.org.cn and comparing it with www.japantoday.com. Apparently 1000 Asian Americans protested Japan in LA today. That wasn't on the US news webs. Its just really interesting to read these two opposing view points over this issue. Its mindblowing. These governments are both acting like spoiled children. Its wierd, I find myself taking the Japanese side a bit but also see where China is coming from. Its odd how over the span of 60 years, your worst enemy has become your best friend and your best friend has become your worst enemy n stuff. Its freaky.
I spent alot of time working on studying Chinese today. Fried my brain a couple times. About 2pm, Megan started helping me with some stuff and Ben showed up so he joined us. We all worked together on some things and fried our brains for the first time. Afterwards I practiced guitar a bit then headed out for dinner.
I was planning on going to practice tonite but at 745pm it started storming and went on until about 9pm. It was thunderstorming and lightning. I haven't seen that here yet. I have seen it rain, but not thunderstorms. It was kool. Since I couldn't go to practice in the rain, Megan helped me again with some more chinese and this fried my brain for the second time. I had Amy call Guo Sifu to ask him some stuff. I had her mention to him that I really have only 3 full months of practice with him left, May, June, and July, and I would like to use that time to learn more of things like Long Quan, Chan Quan, and Lion Dancing. He said sure. Lets see how that goes. I have to think of something real nice to give him as a thank you gift. I am open to ideas, since I am horrible with thinking of ideas. I would like to have something shipped from the USA, but I may pick something up nice in HK or Shanghai that expresses my thanks and give it to him. I wonder if I could get him to teach me how to break the spear with your throat. That would rule. Ha ha ha. The reason I have full 3 months left is that I am gonna try and pull a month stay of August at the Shaolin Temple in Henan. That would totally rock hard. Learn drunken style and a bunch of other stuff. Giggle. tee hee.
Speaking of which, when I first got here in Xiaolan I bought this DVD called "Drunken Monkey" and the last DVD Player it would freeze up. But when Peter left, he took it with him, then we bought another DVD Player. So I thought maybe this one would work. And I popped it in and went to the chapters where it started freezing and what do you know, it worked! Ok, I got one thing to ask everyone...if anyone reads this or knows or whatever... Whenever I watch movies about Drunken Gong Fu, whenever the characters drink wine, they always pour out an entire jar of chinese wine onto their face/bodies and maybe only get a couple mouthfuls. Why do they do this!?!?!?! That is such a waste of chinese wine! (even if its just really water) I just don't understand why they just don't chug a bottle or something, its much more economical. They either smash the jar or something. Aiya. If anyone can answer me this...don't hesitate to email me.
Well, today has been filled with lots of stuff, oddly enuff. I am tired. Goodnite all.

Maybe the wine on their skin makes them smell better. I would think it also makes them harder to grab/throw.
Just a guess.
