Skippy Peanut Butter with Red Bean paste.
Today was a pretty decent day. I only had one class in the morning which was good because I stayed up real late last nite doing some work. I got the kids in my 5th grade class to act some stuff out today and that got alot of reaction. The kids were laughing at each other in a good way.
After those classes I had kindergarten and Gary was my assistant. I am trying to get them to say, "My name is...." And that is tuff. I can get them to say My name is, Whats your name, (their name), but I can't get them to say it properly in order. Its funny. A couple got it, and I used them as an example, but that didn't help much. It was super cute though. That one girl with the pig tails that waddled out of the bathroom the other day did it again today, however, this time she waddle out while she was still pulling up her undies. Ugh. oh well.
I tried to get them to play Duck Duck Goose and it was hard for them to understand. The just ran around in circles and didn't try and tag each other. I had to help alot. And the circle kept getting smaller and smaller until they were all playing footsie in the the center of the play floor. So I got them to do the hokey pokey. And some other things and about 5 minutes to 530pm, after none of the kids were paying attention and running around, I ended the class. Then Gary said, we still have 10 minutes. What do you mean, don't you see the clock? There is about 3 minutes left the kids are brain dead.
Gary said, "The clock is fast by ten minutes." Actually its only 5 minutes.
THen have the clock fixed. i get here on time and I leave after the class is over, that may be a little early, but its hard to teach kids when they aren't paying attention.
"But the class is for 1 hour..."
"Gary, did you see me playing games with them and did you see how many were actually paying attention?"
"Well, i will help them pay attention."
This coming from a guy who would get in the kid's face and scare them.
Afterwards I went to Daisy's. We played this English Domino game. Pretty good.
I had some Skippy Peanut butter with Red Bean paste as a snack over there. Daisy got it all over her face along with her cousin. It was pretty yummy.
I went to buy a cake. Which was a task all in itself. I tried to buy the cake this afternoon, but the one I wanted would have cost a crapload. And they kept changing the story on me so I had to call Amy about 5 times before I got an idea of what was going on. I decided later on that the cake was fine, it was special and i could get others to chip in. However, I went back and tried to get it and the people said their computer was broken so they couldn't place the order. Great. So I went elsewhere where I got a 3 pound 2-layer cake that has got Ultra-Man on it. Bad ass. This is gonna ruel.
After I headed home, some folks were having pizza while watching the Passion of the Christ. So I watched it with them. I had a couple slices. And wouldn't you know it, something clogged me up, I think it was the peanut butter, because I hadn't much to eat today and my stomach felt like it was gonna explode. And around 10 pm it did. Projectile like.
It felt exactly what I had around the New Years time, the food poisoning. Same symptoms. I just hope it doesn't last as long, I got Rumi's bye party tomorrow. So, I called Coco and Bond people to let them know I may not be able to make it to class tomorrow as I was sick.
I will call them tomorrow morning for an update.
goodnite. ugh.
