I hate sixth graders.

The first half of the day was pretty crappy. Didn't feel good at all. Then half way thru the chinese lesson, the day was really good.
Morning 5th grade classes went well. No problems. However, I kicked a kid out for giving me double barrels. He was sitting right in front of me and I told the class to stand up and as the rest of them stood up, he just leaned back and thrusted them into the air. So, I threw him out of the room.
Then it was the lunch period. I came home because I wanted to call the hotel in Shanghai to make sure everything is cool and to ask about any issues with coming in on the red-eye. Amy called them for me and they said if I come in later than 6pm, they need a deposit to make sure I am coming in. So they told Amy they would send me a fax explaining how to make the deposit. So I continued the rest of the lunch period searching for things online and in Nick's Lonely Planet Guidebook about places to go see and do in Shanghai and Hangzhou. We may even decide to go to Suzhou on one day. Hangzhou and Suzhou are within 2 hours bus ride or something.
After lunch I went back to class and my two sixth grade classes were terrible. I wanted to set off a tactical nuclear bomb in the classroom only taking out those that are bad and leaving the few remaining good kids completely safe, well except for some radiation exposure and some cellular damage. Well, anything that helps them be less Chinese is a good thing. ;-)
After class I had Kindergarten with the older kids. I introduced The Seasons and an English Domino game. A few kids kept losing interest in the game so as punishment I ate their brains. It was quite tasty. One of the little girls, one of the newer girls (this semester), while playing Duck Duck Goose, she got on the floor and started humping the floor like in the Vanilla Ice "Ice Ice Baby" music video. It was pretty funny. Lynn gave me some papers to give to the teachers at the Big House. The local government wanted information from us. The thing is, Bond already has all this info on us, and it seems like I have given the same info to the government about 20x already. The one difference on this was "Religious Affiliation". Hmmm....I sense a ruse. Now that they know this, they want to make sure we don't force our religious beliefs on the students. If anyone of us here would do that, the first would be Moses, I bet. Nothing against him or anything. Every once in a while he just asks me these religious questions out of the blue. Yesterday, he printed something out and showed it to me and asked me to take a look. It was an arguement/conspiracy theory about scientists negating the world flood from the Noah's Ark story. "Why do scientists totally disagree and negate the possibility that there could have been a global flood on Earth when they totally believe that, in fact, they have found evidence that shows this happened on Mars. If it happened on Mars, why not here. A global flood is possible and it proves that the Bible is correct." If scientists disagree with that possibility, I have no clue. Never heard anything about it until now. I think most scientists believe its possible and that it did happen during the last ice age. I mean, when the icecaps met, the water disapates all over the world, drowning lots of things, and since the water is so cold or whatever, it cools eveyrthing down and thats how the ice age starts. Global warming is followed by global cooling. But whatever.
He has also given me things on Evolution vs Creationism. During a viewing of The Passion of the Christ he asked me how I thought it was and I said I felt that it followed the Gospels fairly accurately except for the artistic license taken and the presentation that Pontious Pilate. The movie presented him as a panzy which is totally inaccurate with historical facts. He was all like, "Well, which do you believe, The Bible or historical fact.".... I paused shortly taking that question in for a moment. Lets see...I'm a scientists by training... But anywho. That and another Christian Blues album he's putting together.
Sorry about the rant.
After that Kindergarten class was over, I went to Chinese lessons. Its started out slow and I was bored. This stuff is hard to make interesting. Half way thru it started getting fun because Daisy brought down her language toy that talks to you and stuff and it does help with simple nouns and verbs. Very simple stuff. So, I played with that for awhile. I have some software for my computer to do practice with, however, for some stupid reason, on my macs, the audio files get clipped so you can't get the whole word and therefore you can't practice properly. Always something. I emailed the company and no response. Punkasses. Their website claims they design their software on macs...LOL! Eat me. If they designed it for Macs, it would work properly.
After I left I had Gong Fu practice. Practice went well, I was the only one sweating as usual. About a couple weeks ago, this mother started bringing in her 8 year old daughter for pracitce. I have tried to talk to her but she doesn't like me or something. All the other people talk to me. Even the 2 year old that came in with his grandfather. He was shaking my hand and being all professional like...It was pretty funny. I just worked on the 3 forms. On Monday, after the rest of this weeks practice, I will ask Sifu if he is ready to start showing me some Lion Dancing because I need to learn it as soon as possible and as much as possible.
Well, I just took a shower and my face is still beat red from practice. Sleep well all.
