Super tired.
Today is my easiest schoolday. I have four classes. One 3rd grade and two 5th grades, plus one kindergarten class. What made it so tiring is that I was riding my bike everywhere, carrying the guitar, and teaching lots of little kids. What really got to me was that today was the day that I started doing a private lesson for Daisy in return I recieve free chinese lessons from Daisy mother and gradfather. It was good teaching her, but its hard to plan with her, she learns so quickly and retains the info.
The chinese lesson was tuff because we were just looking out of that Chinese book that John gave me before he left. No matter how good it is, its tuff to just try and learn by reading that. We spent some time doing that and I just didn't feel good about it. I know I won't retain any of this stuff. About halfway thru I say, that this wasn't the right way to go about it. It was boring and tiring. So, we tried doing where they just speak to me mostly in Chinese the way I just speak english with Daisy. It forces me to practice and say things. Which is good, but of course I need to use english to find out things. I can see problems with this that its not structured. Probably a cross between the book, the speaking, and flashcards will be the best way. The offered to teach me Tuesday - Saturday, I could come over and just speak with them for 1 hour after my lessons are done at 530pm. I will teach Daisy on Tuesday and Thursday.
I told them last night that once Daisy gets into Primary school and gets older that they will need to be the ones to continue teaching her English. The primary schools just suck in the way they teach english. For one, they chinese teachers who barely know english teaching the class and the kids have no reason outside the class to use English. So Daisy must practice with her folks if she wants to continue. And her level is so high right now. Her mom has taught her alot. Super smart that girl.
After lessons were over, I was super tired and super hungry. So I went to this noodle shop that I was just taken too the night John left. The food is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo friigggggin good! Whenever and whatever I eat there feels like a koala bear just crapped a rainbow in my mouth. The food is fantastic. I ordered this one dish that just tastes soo good. I have gone there 4 days in a row. Not because I really went out of my way to do so, it just happens its right around the corner from my schools, so...yummy. When I found this dish that is just sooo good, I don't know why I should even bother to try and lose this weight I have been packing on, because this food is just toooooo good that I won't want to eat anywhere else. My will power has met its match.
I headed home and fooled with the guitar.
Another good note, Bob K., friend from Highschool and College, located my Friendster Page (Hypotenus Love Triangle) and contacted me. We had lost contact somewhere along the way. It was great to talk to him again. He's bought a house and living somewhere in Texas with his ladyfriend of 2 years. Killer.
Well, time for beddy-poo. Later.
