Goodbye Party for John.

Well, John's contract is up today, Jan 15th. He plans to go traveling around China for about a month long in the next couple days, then return here to get all his stuff and then head back to Buffalo. He doesn't know what he will do. He has to think about it. I will miss the bugger. We are gonna have a party for him in the evening.
I went to Dim Sum with Yumi and Rumi today about 1230pm. It was good. However, they didnt have any Chow Shou Bou (steamed pork buns) which are my favourite and they also didn't have any of those Sesame balls. I really think its interesting that the best Dim Sum I have ever had was in America. It was either in Windsor or Shangri-La in Farmington Hills. That stuff was the best so far.
I then headed home to prepare for my 3pm class with Daisy and the Sunday gang. I have Sat and Sun teaching with them because I already had 2 days off this week. I went to the BOND office a few minutes to get paid. They also gipped me out of 75RMB I paid for the gas tank. Jerks. Gary searched for a classroom and since the chinese go to school on Saturdays, all the classrooms were filled with students of the middle schools. So, Gary said, "Phil, would you like to teach here in the office." I was like, dude, 4 rambonctious kids in this tiny office with about 5 people in it as well. No. Why don't we just use the gym. Gary was like...thats a great idea. OK.
Tony showed up. Great. He sat down. Lit up a cigarrette and Gary then proceeded to kick him out. Smoke outside you inconsiderate bag. I think he is gonna start pestering Doris, the new girl. It then got around 315pm and Daisy and them still hadn't shown. I was like, where are they. Gary called up them up, while he was ringing he said, "Maybe Lynn just told them yesterday about the class today." How is that possible...I have known about this class on saturday for a whole week. Daisy's mom is the one who organized the class and wanted it. Why would they not know?
Gary talked to her and apparently Daisy's mom said that she heard that I was really busy Saturday so that she didn't want to make me busier...what? Huh? Whatever.
There are two possibilities here:
1. Lynn didn't tell them about it though she told me...which is what most likely happened.
2. Daisy's mom thought I was busy because Lynn just told her about the class yesterday and said that they were busy, not Phil.
The class consequently got canceled. Bummer. Day off. :D Lack of planning.
I headed home to do some stuff I needed to do. Plus, i think I am still tired. I didnt sleep well.
Headed to John's at 730pm to enjoy some festivities. While he is gone, I am gonna borrow a bunch of DVDs that I wanted to check out. The boys were at his place and the girls were upstairs at Suzannah's. Sean, John, Peter, Owen, Mountain, and I hung out, playing cards, watched a couple shows of Mr. Show...hilarious.
Then the girls came down and we were all talking and chillin. Very nice. Jolleen had copped out. Apparently she is really upset that John is leaving and she didn't want to take part in his going away party. That sounds wierd to me. So John called her and chatted while we celebrated. Yumi and Rumi made this little foto album with all of us writing something in it. It was great. I got some video of the nite. Peter and I, before the girls came over went out to get a cake and some snacks and beer. So we had the makings.
After that, we headed to the first Disco in Xiaolan. This is the place that we went to Karaoke at previous in the week after the Guzhen shows. The place with the disturbing framed pictures hanging on the walls. The place was dead. I believe its because of the weather. The guangdong-ese people think 40 degrees is freezing and are afraid of it. However, I found that I like this place a heck of a lot better than COWBOY. The music here is actually enjoyable. It sounds alot like western style electronic dance music instead of wretched chinese dance music. I was liking some of the tunes.
So, we hung out there for awhile. Dancing, being silly, having fun.
I got home around 2AM. Time for beddy. Goodnite.
