Fone issues.

So today was half good. It was a day off and after my usual stuff during the day, around 4pm I was like, I need to get another fone. So, I had all my stuff from my last fone that got stollen: The extra battery and the SIM card. So I figured, i will go get the same fone. After 3 months, the price should have fallen from 800/850 to about 600. HA HA HA. Nope. It was still the same price. I looked at a couple lesser models, but my extra battery would work with them and another battery would cost me 140 RMB. screw that. I will find the same model. I went to a bunch of places, found the cheapest they were selling the model for at 760. So I told the guy 700 and after a couple minutes and looking at things, he was like, sure.
So, he pulled out the fone and I had him test my SIM card and figure out what was wrong. He couldn't get it to work. So after about 30 minutes of him calling China Mobile, me talking to Mountain via Peter's cell fone, and the workers at this place writing chinese down for me to read when I told them five times already that I don't understand, I finally purchased the fone. I would have to take care of the SIM card later. I still had some money on it, so I don't know why it was causing me problems. Nothing is ever easy in this country.
I got back to the house, and Peter was like, oh, you should go to China Mobile above the post office and get it taken care of. So I asked Amy to go with, she said sure. I need to buy her a cake. We went to the place above the post office, but found out it was China Telecom. Peter made a mistake. UGH! Mind you, I am frustrated with alot of stuff by this time. Amy and I walked down to China Mobile by the Flower Hotel. I went to the receptionist and they said all I had to do was put some money on it and it would be fine. so i did that. They had this deal for the New Year, if you purchase time, 100RMB worth, they will give you 160RMB worth of time. Pretty kool.
Its a good thing I got this fone. I am sure I will need it to call Mountain or someone when I am stranded in some backass town in china during the New Year.
I went to Lion Dancing again. The head coach wasn't there. And it wsa just the wunderkind. And, I was the only one practicing. The wunderkind just were sitting and smoking and trying to learn how to do a back flip. Oh well. It was funny to watch. I left about 915pm.
I watched "The Hunting of the President" about the 10year right-wing campaign to bring down President Clinton. While there was alot of truth to it, it was a very very biased documentary. They made Clinton out to be some kind of idealistic icon who could do no wrong. And that all the testimony by the women and McDougals were forced, etc. The way they presented Ken Starr was always in slow motion with dark brooding music over it...sometimes in black n white. I laughed my ass off.
Goodnite.
