Stop jerking me around, you jerky-faced jerky jerk jerks!

Chinese logic does not exist.
So today was interesting. I was all prepared to go to Hong Kong. I was waiting at the Flower Hotel at 800AM waiting for Maria's phone call to tell me that I had to go to Hong Kong because the Zhongshan PR Office said "No Extension". However, at about 8:05AM, I get a call from Maria telling me that the office can do the extension. Phew. That's a load off. However, still in the back of my mind, I am still saying, I am still gonna have to go to Hong Kong. So, about 5 minutes later Lynn calls me telling to meet her at the police station in 1 hour to finish getting the materials taken care of. So, an hour later I show up and collect my materials then head down to ShiQi.
I get to the BOND office and I see Richard. Chat with him a minute. Then Maria comes down and is introduced to me. I go with her to fill out some forms. While she is putting them together, I am chatting with a married couple that are telling me about the trouble they had with getting and extension. Apparently when they tried to get the extension, thats when BOND found out about the new VISA regulations. That's right, no government institution told them about it. They told me good luck. Their extensions failed and they had to go to HK that day.
I finish filling out my forms. Joe, one of the drivers, take us over to the office. When we get there, Maria told me to stay out of site.
....what?
Yes, please stay out of site. Because if you are there, they may ask you some question. I will deal with this.
Ok...WARNING SIGNS! That's not how things should be done. So I stay in the waiting room and wait. About 15 minutes later she comes back and says, "you still need to go to Hong Kong." She then proceeded to explain to me what went on...
I told him that your VISA is about to run out and that you need an extension on Business, but they said no. They know about BOND and how BOND brings in foreigners and how they are working on VISAs that they shouldn't be working on. They wouldn't even extend it even if during that time period we apply for a Z-Visa. He said the only thing to do is to get an "L" Visa. [however you can't work legally in China on an "L" VISA. And a new regulation says that you can't have an "L" VISA turned into a "Z" VISA anymore. This is the bullshit I have to deal with from these assholes.]
So on the way back to the BOND office I explained to her very graphically why I would not stay with BOND for 1 year. After my long explanation...she said, "Oh."
You work for the Dark Side, Maria. Face it.
We got back and I told that Richard about it. He got pissed. "WHAT!? They said they could over the phone! That was the whole point of this fone calling or going to HK business. Damnit. Maria is there anyway we can get the actual rules and regulations so we know?"
no answer. still none.
Richard had all my classes canceled for Tuesday so I could go get my VISA in HK. I figure that since it will only take a day to do it, I will make a day of it and go tomorrow in the morning and come back in the evening. That way I don't waste money spending the nite.
That whole process went from 8AM - 2pm. Constant jerking around. Pricks. After that debacle, I headed to the walking street where I visited and walked around the park and checked out that music store with the cock-rock metal guitars. Still there. Same price. I wonder why no one is buying anything from this place?
I then hopped another bus to Xiaolan. I had about 40RMB in bus and taxi receipts that needed to be reimbursed, but Lynn said Jane couldn't allow it. "But Richard said..." I HATE YOU CHINESE!!! I stormed out of there. As I was about to flag a taxi, Lynn cased me down and apologized to me about a couple things. I told her I was fed up with BOND and its incompetence. You guys suck. Terrible. Don't bother me. You have already pissed me off enuff with this VISA issue.
I came back here and vegged out. I then showed some people who came over my DVD. They loved it.
I am going to bed.
