Great morning

So far, my first three classes were great this morning. Coco is at her hometown because her mother-in-law fell ill. She has been out pretty much all week. I haven't seen her. I taught her classes on my own today. Usually when I teach on my own with no Chinese Regulators, the kids are almost unmanageable. However, today, I was able to keep their attention wtih the crummy material I was teaching. They were rowdy, but I was able to put to good use. That was good. I also had one 3rd grade class this morning along with Coco's two 4th grade classes. This class also went really well. A couple of the kids wanted to sing a song from the book. Apparently they liked it. They all got into it. It was very surprising and it was very awesome to be standing there and they all start busting out in song and enjoying it. They were loud and I am sure you could here it over a distance. I really enjoyed it.
Its lyrics were really simple... How old are you, Tony? (repeat 3x) I'm 9. 9,9,9,9,9,9,9, I'm 9.
Thats it, but it was the music and how they sang it. They really enjoyed it. I couldn't help but smile and Lucy, the teacher, was enjoying it as well. At least they were doing something they enjoyed and they were learning at the same time. Fun stuff. 3rd grade energy is the best.
Also, in my third class of the morning, which are 4th graders, the kids started telling me, "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" I lauged a bit for a second. I guess Coco taught them to say this to me. I was like, no, next week, but they didn't understand. A bunch of kids gave me greeting cards. They are adorable. It was really awesome. I was laughing. For next Friday, which is Christmas Eve, I am gonna dress up as Santa Claus, i bought the suit in Hong Kong for Clyde, but he won't get to wear it until Saturday anywho. I am gonna pass out some candy. Its gonna be alot of candy for...lets see...
260 students. Damn.
During lunch I spent some time trying to do some christmas presents for folks around here. Just a couple. We are doing secret santa. I got Clyde, so I have to get something funny for him.
Teaching in the afternoon was really good too. My two 3rd grade classes were really enjoyable. The students were learning and having fun. I decided to try that song out with them as well. They loved it to. Man, I sang that song so much today, its stuck in my head.
Oh, I had an interesting punishment for one of the kids today. There was this kid in my 4th grade who was acting up. He was goofing around and got his friend to tie his wrists together with his red-commie scarf. So I brought him to the front of the class and tied his wrists up to the doorknob at the front of the room.
