Macao on Sunday
I had to go to Macao with John today to leave and re-enter China because my VISA is 30 days stay. Retards. US and China relations...I HATE YOU! Wasting my money like that.. That's not right!
I don't really like Macao that much...I realized that today.
It was a gorgeous day. Its been chilly all week and then all of a sudden they day we go to Macao, its hot. Ugh. But it was beautiful. No clouds. The sun on the water. Very pretty. I took lots of fotos. I will post them soon. We just walked around.
We went to the Caloane Village. Since the public transportation is totally confusing in this city, I made a mistake and cause John and I to get off the bus at the wrong place. We eventually grabbed a taxi and it took us to the destination. It was about 4 miles away. Yeah. I made a mistake. Friggin Macao bus system.
We got to the village and we went into the catholic church and saw the chinese version of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. I got to scan that in. Its awesome. Walked around the village. Visited a couple temples and then we happened upon a grave yard. So we went around and looked at it. It was very interesting. We stopped at a resturant in the village to grab a cold drink and it took the lady about 15-20 minutes to get us a couple shakes. Freaks.
We then hopped a bus to walking street. Walked around. It was Police day. They had a bunch of people at stands and it was really crowded.
Speaking of crowded, the lines at the borders were packed. John never saw it so busy. Its prolly because the Macao Grand Prix is next weekend.
The Brazil resturant was closed. I did find a store sign with my chinese name, "Fei Long" (flying dragon). It was the Flying Dragon Overseas Trading Company. Gots me a foto. John went and bought some Tiger Balm (medicine for Mosquito bites - illegal in the US).
We tried to catch a cab back to the barrier and we couldn't snag one. So we went to a casino waiting line and waited about 30 minutes to get one. I hate this city. We were rushing against the clock to get thru the borders.
We got into Zhuhai around 745pm and got our bus tickets for 830pm. We then went into the local mall and bought some DVDs. I picked up:
1. Team America - awesome movie. I recommend you all to see it.
2. One Hour Photo - it was ok. I felt it didnt' live up to its potential
3. Iron Maiden "Rock in Rio" - all I have to say, is hardcore.
4. Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - great movie
5. Supersize Me - a requisite for all Americans
6. A chinese movie where they mix profesional wrestling with a resturant business. Very funny.
7. A chinese movie that sux. The only saving grace is Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan (who's in it for a couple minutes). It is crap. Oh...it stars Jackie Chan's son. Not as skilled as his father.
We got home and I went to bed. I was tired.
