Got a Gym Membership
So, today was my day off and I headed to the gym around 1130am to meet Jolleen. She was gonna help me get a 4 month membership. We got there and negotiated a 4 month membership for 450 kwai. Pretty good deal. I also got a personal locker. No more luggin tons of crap. I proceed to work out for awhile. It was great. Getting back into my routine. I chatted with John about the party last nite since I thought they all went. No one went. They all assumed that it would suck. And of course, they made asses out of themselve. Apparently it wa a blast. I dunno why they dislike the scene in ShiQi. There are fun things. They are just cocky sometimes. ;-) Just kidding, I love 'em. Its understandable, some of the crew in ShiQi tend to like to party with illegal substances and thats just not cool. I hope the cops bust them up.
So, I was saddened to hear this, but not too bummed since I had a blast at my party. That was a rockin good time. See the fotos and journal entry.
What else happened, oh, after working out, I grabbed some food at this awesome small shop. For 3 kwai, you can get 10 jiao-tze, steamed dumplings......SOOOOO GOOODD! they aslo have these noodle dishes for 3 kwai. This place rocks. Great food, super cheap prices.
Then I ran across the path of many motorcycles on the street to Sheng-Ya DVD shop where I was seduced by the Dark Side and purchased the new Star Wars Special Edition DVDs for a total of 33 kwai, which is ruffly $4US. AWESOME! They look gorgeous. There are some things that were done to them that pissed me off, but little things that a guy like me (psycho star wars fan would get pissed at). Things like changing Boba Fett's voice to the guy who played Jango Fett, because Boba was a clone of Jango...which for the record irrtiated me. Lucas aslo screwed up more things. He re-did the Conversation with the Emporer in The Empire Strikes Back. Ugh. Oh, and Anakin's ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi is no longer Bernard Shaw, but that panzy they picked to play Anakin in the first 3 movies. I haven't seen what they did to Star Wars: A New Hope yet. But all my irritations with the Special Editions from 1997 still hold....like Greedo shooting first. WTF!!!!!!
The rest of the day was spent on lesson preparation and screwing around.
