A drill in my head.

After the late nite last nite I was hoping to sleep in for a bit. But no. There are these jerks doing construction work on the bottom part of the house. Not for us...but for a business thats going in down there. And of course, since Chinese construction and planning is sooo terrible, I can hear everything they are doing. So, about 8AM I am scared out of bed by a drill that can be heard throughout the house, but it is being drilled right underneath my bed and so I freaked out like it was coming thru the wall to get me. "Coming for the gweilo!"
Then I try to go back to sleep, but I get the occasional wake up by these drills. Also, I am in the sleep state where you do stuff you can't really control...like itching mosquito bites. Finally I am able to wake up enuff to put some stuff on it.
After I got up, pretty much all I have been doing was DVD work. I got alot accomplished...I think it looks pretty professional right now. I need to see it once its complete though. To see if I am right.
I went to Lion/Dragon Dance practice tonite. I had a good time. There were alot of people there. Everyone was preparing for the festival tomorrow. I just did my normal stuff. I had even more people staring at me. What the hell, how long are you gonna keep looking at me. I would think after a day or two the novelty would wear off. We had this meeting where I sat and the head coach talked to everyone for a bit. Then I got up and continued practicing. Then around 940PM, some of the students that have taken a liking to me were showing me a bit of the lion dance stuff. Picking the people up, sitting them on your head and swinging them around and having them stand on your thighs while you are in the horse stance. That was really fun. The headcoach was lauging and amazed that I was doing this already and he seemed to enjoy it. Great. After that I headed back here - it was 1015pm, I took a quick shower, hopped onto Peter's scooter, that he fixed, and went over to John's place and we hung out. Apparently, the scooter had an extra long wire for the blinker that was installed because the shop people fixed it and only had a long wire. So, this wire got tangled in the chain and popped it off. Peter fixed it. Toby, John, and I watched "BAADAASSSSS" the movie by Mario van Peebles showing the struggle his dad made to make, "Sweet Sweetback's Badaasss Song". It was a pretty good movie. The Detroit part ruled.
I'm am off to bed. I have a long day with the government at the Crysthanthemum festival tomorrow. Need to take lots of video and pictures.
