Contract Modification!!!

I woke up today and feel better. This day got better quick.
Classes went fine. Nothing special. I had sent out an email the nite before asking John to reduce my contract to 6 months from 1 year. I was just waiting on his response.
I had kindergarten with Lynn. It was the intermediate level, the kids dont know much. So I taught them some basic stuff. But then I played, "London Bridge" with them and the kids and chinese instructors loved it. The kids made me happy.
Afterwards, Lynn took me to get Passport fotos for the Z-visa. They were really pushing this on us and it was frustarting cause I was waiting to hear on my contract reduction. If so, I wouldnt be able to get a Z-visa. But that would be ok because I wouldnt be under control by Bond. If I had a Z-visa and I decdied to run away from Bond, Bond wouldnt free me off the Z-visa and I would be stuck in China not being able to legally work.
So I got some goofy looking passport fotos taken.
I got home and there was an email from John saying that he agrees and will allow my contract to be reduced!!!!! SWEEEET! good times. This means many things
1. I am no longer under the tyranny of Bond for 1 year.
2. After 6 months is up, I am totally leaving to either Shanghai, Beijing, or if I hate China then, maybe Japan.
3. that just totally rules.
The downside is that I my payment for fees will be lowered, however, its totally worth it to know i can be free sooner. Just 4.5 months to go.
So, I dont have to take care of this Z-visa. I need to call Amanda and get info on the F-visa and price. I will need to go to HK on thursday ntie and take care of this on Friday. Get some site seeing in while I am at it. Yes!

if you decide to go to japan, maybe i can give you some advice or help you find a placement. you might be familiar with the JET program, personally i'm not sure i'd go that route. going from BOND to JET would be like the difference between cow manure and horse manure, imho. i myself have been interested in amity ( http://www.amity.co.jp/ft_recruit/index.html ), but that is a yearlong committment. one place you could start looking is o-hayo sensei ( http://www.ohayosensei.com/ ). good luck, wherever you go.
