FINALLY!!! DIM SUM! and guitars.
So, today, the english teachers went out for afternoon tea. We went to the Flower Hotel which was gorgeous. It was DIM SUM time! I finally got to have real authentic Dim Sum...talk about the best. It was better than any I had in the America. However, I am not saying that Dim Sum at Shangri La, Windsor, or Great Lakes in AA is bad. I am just saying this was better. That other stuff is really good too back home. It was really good.
Today, I helped Coco with a 4th grade music lesson. It ruled. I got to play her daughter's guitar, cause I don't have one yet, but i got a couple picked out. I was teaching them Do, Re, Mi from The Sound of Music. They liked it. We only got the intro done because the principal spoke to the school for about 20 minutes via the PA system about a movie all the children will be seeing this week.
The students will be taken, by class, to be..."educated"...on Den Xiaopeng, a great communist leader that died in '97, all this week. (isn't that an oxy-moron?..great communist leader... ;-) ). Anywho. So, some of my classes this week will be canceled. I aint got a problem with that.
It was a fun day, sorta. Not to many problems in class. the 5th and 6th graders are less receptive to me. 3rd and 4th grade is where its at. :D
